STACEY BARKER IZER

Mrs. Stacey Izer has been working at The Montessori Learning Center for over 25 years. Currently she is the Director as well as the lead Kindergarten teacher.

Mrs. Izer is a long time resident of Fort Walton Beach. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Child Development, she returned to her hometown where she now lives with her husband Kelly, her daughter McKenzie, and son Jake.

CONNIE BROWNING BARKER

Mrs. Connie Barker has been teaching at Montessori Learning Center for 24 years. Her focus is introducing students to numbers, math, shapes, colors and geography.

Mrs. Barker is an Alabama native and comes from a rather large family with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Although her family is scattered throughout Alabama, they remain very close. When they get together it is one big family reunion. She and her husband Richard have been married for 22 years. They enjoy spending time with their family, cat and friends as well as camping and traveling.

LOIS A. PETERS

Mrs. Lois Peters has been teaching at the Montessori Learning Center for 16 years. She is currently the Kindergarten teacher. 

Originally from Rome, N.Y, she and her husband, Tom, have been married for 16 years and have lived in Okaloosa County for the past 8 years with their 3 children. Her hobbies include reading and camping. Her philosophy of educations is simple, “Education begins at home.”  She feels education is a shared responsibility of parent and teacher. She believes that every child can learn, given opportunities to use their strengths and given assistance to strengthen weakness.

AMY M. WINSLETTE

Mrs. Winslette is in her 3rd year of teaching at Montessori Learning Center. She is currently the Lower Elementary teacher.  

Mrs. Winslette grew up on a working family farm in Iowa where she and her brothers had many adventures and learned valuable life lessons. After graduation from the University of Northern Iowa, she began her career in retail management. Her career with J.Crew and Coach brought her to Florida where she found her calling for education. It is also where she met her husband Dale, a native of Fort Walton Beach. They have been married for 18 years and have two boys, Wyatt and Jesse, with whom they enjoy their hobbies of beach going, watching football, fishing, and enjoying each other’s company.

JENNIFER MUSCATO

Mrs. Muscato has been teaching at the Montessori Learning Center for the better part of 8 years. She is currently the Pre-K4 teacher for language, letters, & reading development.

Mrs. Muscato is an active-duty military spouse to her husband of over 14 years, supporting him in his military career and raising their two children. Her hobbies include travel, running, and supporting the arts.
